Since 2000, Autovision has been an Automotive Design Executive Recruitment company, providing the most highly creative, professional, and experienced Automotive Design Executives and Design Leadership Candidates for automotive concept and production design studios.
In January 2015, Autovision was purchased by RCD Except, a premiere Automotive, Aviation Design and Engineering Group, with sites in France, Germany, Romania, and the UK. Founded in 1999, the company has grown to its current size of over 170 employees, and specializes in providing "Research Concept and Design" (RCD) services.
The new company is Autovision RCD, Inc. Bill Barranco, the founder of Autovision, is the Director and CEO.
After his graduation from Art Center College of Design, Bill was a creative automotive designer for Ford Motor Company, and later Nissan and Volvo before he became a Design Manger at International Automotive Design in the UK. At IAD, he was the Exterior Designer of the LA 301 Hybrid Electric car in 1989, while he managed Exterior and Interior Designers on projects for Ford, Mazda, Philips Electronics, Volvo, Opel, A.C. Cars, Isuzu, Otokar, Pegaso, MAN Trucks, KIA, Escorts, and Daewoo. He has also served in an internal a consulting role at Hyundai in Seoul Korea and Proton Motors in Malaysia.
On sabbatical, Bill attended the Royal College of Art in London. Later, Bill was a professor of Advanced Transportation Design studies at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he attracted sponsored projects from Nissan, Toyota, and Peugeot.
Bill is currently an active supporter of Stanford University in their programs for Advanced Research of the Culture of the Automobile.
